Evansburg Entwistle Chamber of Commerce

Evansburg and Entwistle are communities rich in history, both linked to the expansion of the railway and development westward. The railway, the coal mines and European emigration brought together people from vastly different backgrounds. They were all mixed together in a harsh reality that created a hard working pioneer community full of eccentric characters and wonderful stories. That history has continued to define these communities today and we invite you to come in and dig into our storied history. As you drive into our communities, you will be amazed at the glorious beauty of the Pembina Gorge, etched out over thousands of years. You can follow the NEW trail system we have created to get some amazing views of the amazing gorge.  Take in all the lake districts of Wabamun and Isle Lake on the east side to Chip Lake at Wildwood on the west. Check out the Bird Sanctuary at Chip Lake, or take the short drive to Jasper National Park, and tour those Rocky Mountains. Enjoy the nearby North Saskatchewan and Sturgeon Rivers, but do not miss the Pembina and Lobstick Rivers running right through our lovely Pembina River Provincial Park. For the outdoor enthusiast, we have a great deal to offer. You might miss the hustle and bustle of bigger centers, because you won't find it here. Our communities are relaxed and comfortable, and people have time to listen to a story or tell you one. Whatever you do with your time here in the Lobstick area of Yellowhead County, we hope your experience is rich and fulfilling.
